TCL's new C8L Mini LED TVs now available in more countries with up to 288Hz

TCL has released its new C8L SQD-Mini LED TVs in Europe. This model sits above the recently released C7L, another SQD-Mini LED TV. It is available in the following five sizes: 55", 65", 75", 85" and 98".

In the UK, the TCL C8L SQD-Mini LED TVs are now available at third-party retailers like Vaughans. Here, the 55" model is priced at £1,199, while the 98" TV is listed at £3,999. Similarly, at retailers like Unieuro and MediaWorld in Italy, the smaller 55" TV costs €1,099, and the range-topping 98" variant is priced at €4,699. The complete price list can be found below.

The TCL C8L is a 4K Mini LED TV with a native 144Hz refresh rate, which can be boosted up to 288Hz. This model uses a CSOT WHVA 2.0 Ultra Panel combined with the LED backlight. According to the product listing, the 98" version has 4,032 local dimming zones and a maximum brightness level of 6,000 nits. Other features include 100% coverage of the BT.2020 color gamut, and support for Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+ and HLG. This ultra-slim model could be used for gaming, with functions like Game Master and AMD FreeSync, and the Google TV operating system provides access to many streaming apps, as well as Google Assistant.

As a reminder, the TCL C8L SQD-Mini LED TV is known as the QM8L in the US. The series was released in this market in April 2026, and is currently available at retailers like Amazon US (65-inch QM8L curr. $1,799.99).
