TCL launches dual mode 4K QD-Mini LED gaming monitor with up to 320 Hz refresh rate

TCL has launched a budget QD-Mini LED gaming monitor that brings dual-mode capabilities and high brightness. The TCL 27C2A has a 4K panel that can be switched to full HD mode with a higher refresh rate. The gaming monitor is currently available in China with no information on global availability.

TCL 27C2A QD-Mini LED monitor features

The Mini LED panel boasts 1,196 dimming zones spread across 27 inches. It is also a dual-mode panel with 4K (3,840x2,160) resolution at 160 Hz and full HD (1,920x1,080) at 320 Hz, all while maintaining a 1ms GtG response time. TCL claims 99% DCI-P3 and 99% sRGB color space coverage with a 10-bit panel that is capable of 1,200 nits of brightness. It also supports HDR 1000, but the specifics of the brightness rating and HDR support are unclear.

There seems to be a single variant of the gaming monitor with black front bezels but a white back and stand. The stand supports swivel, tilt, height, and pivot adjustment. For connectivity, the TCL 27C2A comes with two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DP 1.4 port.

TCL 27C2A QD-Mini LED monitor availability

As mentioned earlier, the 27C2A gaming monitor is currently only available in China and is listed on JD.com (log-in required). It is priced at 2,299 Yuan, which converts to around $338. This puts it at quite an attractive price point, but it is unclear if or when it will arrive in the US. Notably, the C2A Pro QD-Mini LED monitor was launched in China in March and arrived in the US three months later in June.
