Dell launches new attractively priced QHD Alienware gaming monitors with 240 Hz curved panels

Dell earlier showed two Alienware QHD 240 Hz gaming monitors with a 1500R curve. The monitors were the 32-inch Alienware AW3226DM and the 34-inch Alienware AW3426DWM. Specs-wise, both monitors are nearly identical, except for their screen sizes and aspect ratios. Today, Dell is launching both monitors in the US at a price of $399.99 for the 34-inch AW3426DWM and $299.99 for the 32-inch AW3226DM.
Starting with the bigger 34-inch Alienware AW3426DWM, the gaming monitor features a 3,440 x 1,440 resolution 21:9 aspect ratio panel with an anti-glare coating, a 1500R curve, and tilt/pivot/height adjustment. The panel is rated for a max 240 Hz refresh rate, 95% DCI-P3 coverage, and a 3,000:1 contrast ratio. The display also boasts 400 nits of SDR and up to 450 nit of HDR brightness, resulting in a Vesa DisplayHDR 400 certification.
Other important details about the monitor include AMD FreeSync Premium, a fast 1 ms GtG response time in the “extreme” mode, and two HDMI 2.1 ports with FRL and eARC. These ports are augmented by one DisplayPort 1.4, one Type-A/Type-C downstream port, and a Type-B upstream port.
The smaller 32-inch Alienware AW3226DM has a traditional 16:19 aspect ratio panel with a 2,560 x 1,440 resolution. It also has a 1500R curve and also almost everything else that is present in the 34-inch Alienware AW3426DWM. This includes the same 400 nits of SDR brightness, 95% DCI-P3 coverage, 240 Hz refresh rate, ports, and so on.
Sadly, the 32-inch AW3226DM gaming monitor has very limited adjustment and only supports tilt and height adjustments. There is no support for swivel or pivot.
Finally, in addition to these two VA gaming monitors, Dell is launching the 34-inch Alienware AW3426DW QD-OLED gaming monitor with a 280 Hz refresh rate.
