Deal | Dell laptop with 16 GB RAM, 14+ hour battery, 120 Hz display drops below $900

In today’s market, your best bet of getting a decent multimedia laptop without breaking the bank is to be on the lookout for deals at major retailers like Amazon and Best Buy. One such deal has now slashed the price of last year’s Dell 16 Plus laptop to below $900. Currently, the Dell 16 Plus with an Intel Core Ultra 7 256V SoC, 16 GB of DDR5 RAM, 1 TB of storage, and a 16-inch IPS display is on sale on Amazon for $859.81.

The price history of the laptop on camelcamelcamel shows that the current discounted price, while not the lowest, is noticeably lower than the highest $1,149.99 and the average $904.89 prices. So, the Dell 16 Plus on sale seems to be a decent value.

Granted, you could get the Dell 16 Plus for much less in late 2025. But, as things have panned out, the prices of DDR5 memory and SSDs are out of control, which has resulted in many multimedia laptops touching or exceeding $1,000.

Dell 16 Plus combines a good display with long battery life

The Dell 16 Plus won’t surprise you in any way. It is your standard, modern multimedia laptop in most aspects. But this is actually a good thing, as the Dell 16 Plus does what it set out to do rather well.

The laptop is well made with good inputs, comes in under 2kg despite packing a 16-inch display, and has a decent port selection. There is also Wi-Fi 7 on board alongside a removable SSD. The 16-inch IPS panel features a 2K (2,560 x 1,600) resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and 100% sRGB coverage. In our testing, the display also exhibited a decent contrast ratio and more than 300 nits of average brightness.

We also found in our review that, while the Core Ultra 7 256V is not a beastly performer, it offers capable day-to-day performance, an Arc 140V iGPU that can actually play games, and strong energy efficiency. The latter also allows the Dell 16 Plus to run cool and quiet. The laptop also lasted for over 14 hours in our battery test.
