Xgimi launches new 4K projectors with high contrast ratio

Xgimi has unveiled the new X50 Ultra and X50 Ultra Max projectors in China. These two home theatre models have arrived alongside other series, like the RS30 and the Mira 4K.
The Xgimi X50 Ultra projectors have a 4K (3,840 x 2,160 px) resolution, and a higher native contrast ratio of 10,000:1. These DLP projectors use an RGB laser light source, said to deliver up to 7,000 CVIA lumens brightness; CVIA lumens is a Chinese standard, but a brightness measurement for an internationally recognised standard like ISO has yet to be provided. The throw ratio is 0.98-2.0:1, and users can quickly perfect the image with tools like automatic keystone correction.
The X50 Ultra uses Xgimi’s GMUI 6 operating system, with support for Apple AirPlay wireless screen mirroring. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, and there is a range of ports like HDMI (eARC), USB 3.0 and USB 2.0. This model also has built-in 12W Harman Kardon speakers supporting Dolby and DTS technologies.
In China, the Xgimi X50 Ultra and X50 Ultra Max retail for CNY 15,499 (~$2,267) and CNY 19,499 (~$2,851), respectively. It is unclear whether or when these models could reach other markets like the US, where the brand already sells other projectors like the Horizon 20 4K RGB Triple Laser Home Projector (curr. $1,559 at Amazon).
