Four new Hisense Vidda C5 series laser projectors have been launched in China: the C5 Master, the C5 UltraMax, the C5 Ultra and the C5 ProMax. The range-topping model’s features include liquid cooling and a native 8,000:1 contrast ratio.

Hisense has launched four new Vidda C5 series laser projectors in China. The C5 Master, the C5 UltraMax, the C5 Ultra and the C5 ProMax join the older Vidda C5 Borderless Master laser projector, which launched in this market in late 2025.

The Hisense C5 ProMax, the entry-level 4K (3,840 × 2,160 px) model in the new range, delivers up to 3,200 CVIA lumens brightness using two QuaLas42 lasers. This air-cooled model is said to have a native 5,000:1 contrast ratio. Plus, it has an integrated 2.1 channel Dolby sound system, 3GB+64GB storage and Wi-Fi6 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity.

The range-topping C5 Master 4K projector has several upgrades, including a higher peak brightness level of 5,800 CVIA lumens from the MCL3A and QuaLas42 lasers. This model offers liquid cooling, and the native contrast ratio is also higher at 8,000:1. The Dolby speakers are swapped out for an equivalent Harman JBL 2.1 system. Plus, the storage is increased to 4GB+128GB, and connectivity options include Wi-FI 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. All models in the range support Dolby Vision and HDR10+, with VRR, ALLM and a dedicated Game Mode.

In China, the Hisense Vidda C5 series laser projectors start from CNY 9,999 (~$1,470) for the C5 ProMax, with the C5 Master retailing for CNY 16,999 (~$2,500). Whether or when these models could be released in other markets like the US, where the brand already sells the M2 Pro laser projector (curr. $1,099.99 at Amazon), is unclear. It is also worth noting that, while CVIA lumens are an accepted brightness standard in China, Hisense has yet to confirm the brightness levels of these models relative to an international standard like ISO or ANSI lumens.
