War Thunder 2.5 "Ixwa Strike" comes with South African ground vehicles and more
War Thunder is back with a new update that pushes the version number of the game to 2.5. Its name is "Ixwa Strike" and its main highlight is the introduction of a group of South African ground vehicles that have been added as a new branch in the British tech tree. In addition to these and the other new pieces of military hardware, War Thunder 2.5 also includes multiple improvements and tweaks, both seen and unseen.
The aforementioned South African branch ends with the Olifant Mk.1A and Mk.2, both heavily modified Centurions. This update also brings the first swept-wing plane to be added so far, namely the Russian Su-17M strike fighter. Naval battles fans get the SMS Kaiser battleship and four other vessels. The game includes multiple graphical enhancements, new gunfire sounds, a new location (Seversk-13), tactical air-to-surface missiles, and more.
As usual, those interested in all the details can check the full list of changes provided by Gaijin (available on this page). These being said, just check the media content below and feel free to share your thoughts with us.
