Scalpers are already listing Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake Switch 2 physical copies for over $150

Nintendo finally announced the release date and price for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake today during the Zelda Direct. The company confirmed that the highly anticipated remake will launch on November 5 for the Nintendo Switch 2. However, even though there are still nearly two months left until its release, scalpers are already listing physical copies of the game at absurd prices.

The physical version of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake carries a $69.99 price tag. Considering this is expected to be one of the biggest game launches on the Nintendo Switch 2, physical copies could sell out quickly once the game arrives. We’ve already seen something similar happen with Oblivion Remastered on the Switch 2, as its physical copies were sold out on launch day.  

That said, it seems that scalpers on eBay are already trying to take advantage of the expected demand. Several physical copies of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake have already been listed on eBay, despite the game being almost two months away from release. The listings start at around $95, which is already significantly higher than the official $69.99 price.

However, most of the listings we came across are asking for nearly $150 for a physical copy. That's more than double the game's original price tag. We even spotted one listing demanding $230 for the game, which is just ridiculous. 

At the time of writing, the physical version of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake is still available to pre-order on Amazon at its regular price. And with nearly two months still left until launch, other retailers could also restock their pre-orders before November 5. In other words, there is absolutely no reason to pay these inflated prices to scalpers.
