The details which Roland Quandt published aren’t exactly brand-new, but it does come from a very reliable source, namely Samsung itself. Specifically, the German leaker unveiled a Samsung document from Turkey that outlines the terms for a promotional campaign related to the Samsung Shop app.
The document also includes a list of excluded products with all their model numbers, and this is where it gets interesting, as it lists all storage options for the new Samsung foldables. Take a look at the cropped screenshot below that shows the most relevant parts. It confirms three storage options for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and two each for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, which is the slightly more affordable Fan Edition.
- Galaxy Z Fold 7 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage
- Galaxy Z Fold 7 with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage
- Galaxy Z Fold 7 with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage
Only the top configuration will receive 16GB of RAM, all others will still be limited to 12GB of memory.
- Galaxy Z Flip 7 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage
- Galaxy Z Flip 7 with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage
- Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage
- Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage
Therefore, the new Samsung flip phone will have up to 12GB of RAM, while the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE will only have up to 8GB of memory and 256GB of storage.
