With Galaxy Unpacked upon us in less than two days, the leaks continue to pour in. Earlier today, some key specs of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE and Galaxy Watch 8 showed up online. Now, another leak sheds more light on Samsung's upcoming foldable smartphones.
Multiple Geekbench listings, including one from earlier today, confirmed the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE would launch with a last-gen Exynos 2400 SoC. However, an official-looking spec sheet indicates that the regular Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE are powered by an Exynos 2500. Now, it may be a typo, but it is not outside the realm of possibilities.
That said, an identical SoC might make the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE too similar to the regular Galaxy Z Flip 7. Both have a 6.9-inch FHD+ primary screen, a dual camera setup (50 MP + 12 MP), a 10 MP selfie camera, and a 4,300 mAh battery. The only differences might lie in the cover screen panel and memory/storage, with the Flip 7 offering 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, while the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE maxes out at 8 GB and 128 GB, respectively.
Moving on, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will supplement its 200 MP primary camera sensor with two additional modules: a 12 MP and a 10 MP sensor. It also confirms the lack of a battery upgrade, with the foldable slated to use the same 4,400 mAh battery as its predecessor. Durability might be an issue because its chassis is much thinner this time.
