Samsung is expected to launch two Galaxy Z Flip smartphones this year, one of which is the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE/Galaxy Z Flip FE and will be the more affordable model. Ahead of its release, a leak has revealed some key specifications of the phone and a possible price range.
The details published by Greek blog, Techmaniacs, reveal the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE will have a 6.7-inch main display and a 3.4-inch cover display. The main screen is an LTPO AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate but there's no mention of the other details of the cover screen.
The clamshell foldable smartphone will have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor according to the source but this contrasts with an earlier report that it will have an Exynos 2400 processor. The leak also mentions the phone will have 12GB of RAM but doesn't mention the storage variants. However, the source does state that the phone will have a 50MP primary rear camera and a 12MP ultrawide angle camera. It will also have a 10MP front-facing camera.
Samsung is also reported to equip the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE with a 4,000mAh battery that charges at 25W with a wired charger and 15W via wireless charging. It will also have an IP48 dust and water resistance rating. With respect to pricing, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is expected to be priced at under €1,000.
These leaked specifications of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE match those of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 released last year which hints at the phone being a rebadge of the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
Rebadging an older device into a new one with a new name isn't unusual for Samsung. A perfect example is the Galaxy Watch FE (curr. available on Amazon for $129.72) which is a rebadge of the Galaxy Watch 4 but with a lower price tag. However, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE will have to be pretty affordable for anyone to consider purchasing it over a refurbished Galaxy Z Flip 6.
