If you have had your eyes on Samsung's Galaxy Ring for a while but have been put off by the price, now is a good time to get your hands on it.
For a limited time, the Galaxy Ring can be purchased for $299.99 on Amazon or at Best Buy; that's $100 or 25% off its original price. Both retailers also provide the option for buyers to pay the full price of $399.99 and receive a free $100 gift card. although on Amazon, you have to ensure you choose the 'Ring + 100 Amazon GC' option. The discount applies to all eleven sizes and all three colors the Galaxy Ring is available in.
Samsung announced the Galaxy Ring at MWC 2024 in February and released it to market in July 2024 as the first model of a new health tracking wearable category. Like several smartwatches, the Galaxy Ring can measure heart rate and respiratory rate.
It also has sleep monitoring, cycle tracking, and can track a variety of exercises with support for auto workout detection. Like the Galaxy Watch series, recorded metrics can be viewed in the Samsung Health app. The app will also use recorded data to provide personalized insights that can help users make useful health changes.
The Galaxy Ring is available in sizes 5 to 15 and can be purchased in Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, or Titanium Gold. It is scratch resistant, has an IP68 dust and water resistance rating, as well as a 10 ATM water resistant classification. Samsung says the ring will provide up to 7 days of use before needing a recharge, but as all battery-powered tech goes, that will vary according to usage. The Galaxy Ring is compatible with both Samsung and non-Samsung Android smartphones.
