Samsung has finally confirmed when it will be fully unveiling the Galaxy S25 Edge as the fourth member in the Galaxy S25 series. For context, the company first teased the Galaxy S25 Edge in January when it launched the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus and the Galaxy S25 Ultra (curr. $1,064.99 on Amazon). While Samsung went on to exhibit the Edge at MWC 2025 in March, it decided against providing any further information even in the face of an impending amount of leaks.
In a blog post, Samsng has now clarified that it will officially unveil the Galaxy S25 Edge on May 13 at 00:00 UTC. Broadcast globally on YouTube, the event does not appear to contain any other devices at this stage, such as early releases for the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7 or the Galaxy Watch8 series. Instead, these are expected to arrive this summer during Samsung's next Galaxy Unpacked event.
Ultimately, Samsung's press release has a rather congratulatory tone to it. A key detail is buried within, though. Namely, the company has confirmed that the Galaxy S25 Edge will launch with a 200 MP primary camera, just like the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition before it. It remains to be seen whether the 200 MP sensor in question is the ISOCELL HP2 found in these two devices, though. Based on recent rumours, Samsung will complement this 200 MP sensor with 12 MP selfie and ultra-wide-angle cameras, a 3,900 mAh battery and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset.
