The Galaxy Z TriFold remains something of a mystery despite being officially showcased over a fortnight ago. While Samsung presented the device during APEC South Korea 2025, the company is yet to confirm exactly where or in which markets the device will be available. Recently, Bluetooth SIG listings indicated that the Galaxy Z TriFold may be available in multiple countries under various model numbers.
To recap, all shared the same 'SM-D639' root, denoting that they relate to the same underlying smartphone, which Bluetooth SIG referred to as 'Q7M'. Now, the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) has certified what is believed to be the same Galaxy Z TriFold by another model number in Singapore. Surprisingly, the new certification contains the model number SM-F968B/DS rather than SM-D639 or a regional variant.
Nonetheless, the former has appeared previously in Chinese regulatory documents. Incidentally, the model number alone confirms that the Galaxy Z TriFold will support dual SIM connectivity. Currently, Singapore is one of three countries outside of China and South Korea that are expected to receive the Galaxy Z TriFold. As it stands, Samsung's first tri-fold is also rumoured to be joining the Galaxy Z Fold7 (curr. $1,699 on Amazon) in the UAE and Taiwan.
