You know what my biggest problem is with apparent iteration? When companies bring major changes to a product, but since it looks the same as last year, you judge a book by its cover. This is the Galaxy Book4 Pro 360, what Samsung calls as their most powerful 2-in-1 laptop made to move with you, and what I'm gonna call a product that's so much better than before, that I wish there was something visual to help me convey my point. At a time when Apple is just killing it with its MacBooks and M Chips, it's easy to lose sight of all the efforts its competitors are doing to catch up. I'm Jaime Rivera with Pocketnow, and it's time for our extended review

The 2024 edition of Samsung’s premium 16” 2-in-1 Ultrabook laptop features their lovely 2.8K AMOLED 2X display supporting the included Samsung S Pen and touch, and is refreshed with an Intel 14th gen Meteor Lake Core Ultra 7 155H CPU with Intel Arc graphics. The supremely slim aluminum-clad laptop boasts improved battery life, Intel’s AI capabilities (put to use by some Samsung apps) and synergy with Samsung’s own Galaxy Android smartphones. As ever, the S Pen and AMOLED display make this a compelling Windows convertible for artists. Samsung is currently bundling a free 2TB Samsung T7 Shield SSD with the laptop.

Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro 360
The latest to join the Samsung family is none other than the Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro 360. As far as its design is concerned, little has changed with the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 as compared with last year’s model. As for the keyboard, it is a mixed bag, with the action being satisfying if a tad shallow. However, the massive trackpad is great, both in terms of its remarkable size and responsiveness though. Basically, the overall design remains top notch, with a luxe all-metal chassis that oozes style. Apart from that, it is worth noting that the 360-hinge does a stunning job of presenting video in immersive and vibrant fashion. In addition, the hinge also enables tablet mode, which is the best position for when taking advantage of the bundled S Pen. Well, as for the S pen, it is just another impressive stylus from Samsung, with responsive input and a comfortable fit. In terms of its connectivity, this model carries two Thunderbolt 4, one USB-A 3.2, an HDMI 2.1 and a headphone jack. Having said that, it would have been commendable if a laptop that touts creator capabilities has been incorporated with some kind of memory card reader.
The webcam on the other hand, is a simple Full HD affair that might not be one of the best, but it will do the job. However, it is definitely quite odd to have a premium Windows laptop which lacks the handy Windows Hello login feature though. But, there is a fingerprint login through the power button. Talking about its screen, Samsung has taken advantage of OLED technology by providing wonderfully crisp colours and a bright display through its 3K 120Hz panel. Furthermore, the high refresh rate also ensures that browsing around on this machine feels pleasingly fluid. The Galaxy Book 4 Pro 360 also caters for a great viewing experience, whether one is dabbling in some light gaming, doing some studying or even carrying out some creative work. While there is a new anti-reflective coating which helps with glare a bit, it is still far from being a matte display. As for its performance, this device has been equipped with the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H paired with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD storage. Most of the time, the operation is quite seamless but there is occasional stutter, whether it is some excessively fan noise or hobbling performance when pushed. In terms of its battery, the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 is easily one of the best Windows laptops around for battery life and tussles with the top-tier MacBook Air in that regard by carrying a 76Wh battery which can easily last for 15 hours. In a nutshell, it is a great device to be explored, depending on the need and preference of the user.

15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.
