Samsung has equipped its Galaxy Book4 models with Intel's new Meteor Lake processors and the 16-inch, 2-in-1 Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 offers the Intel Core Ultra 5 paired with a high-resolution 120 Hz AMOLED display.

You know what my biggest problem is with apparent iteration? When companies bring major changes to a product, but since it looks the same as last year, you judge a book by its cover. This is the Galaxy Book4 Pro 360, what Samsung calls as their most powerful 2-in-1 laptop made to move with you, and what I'm gonna call a product that's so much better than before, that I wish there was something visual to help me convey my point. At a time when Apple is just killing it with its MacBooks and M Chips, it's easy to lose sight of all the efforts its competitors are doing to catch up. I'm Jaime Rivera with Pocketnow, and it's time for our extended review

The supremely slim aluminum-clad laptop boasts improved battery life, Intel’s AI capabilities (put to use by some Samsung apps) and synergy with Samsung’s own Galaxy Android smartphones. As ever, the S Pen and AMOLED display make this a compelling Windows convertible for artists. Samsung is currently bundling a free 2TB Samsung T7 Shield SSD with the laptop.

The 16-inch Galaxy Book4 Ultra multimedia laptop is Samsung's answer to the Apple MacBook Pro 16. In addition to its 120 Hz high-resolution AMOLED panel, there is a current Core Ultra processor as well as a GeForce RTX 4050 laptop. However, the Ultra doesn't come cheap.

Few ultraportables straddle the line between professional, creator and gamer-friendly features quite like the Galaxy Book4 Ultra. If you’re wedded to Windows, its superb battery life and gorgeous screen make it a fine alternative to the Dell XPS 16 and Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2. It delivers potent graphics without the OTT styling found on a lot of laptops built with play in mind, and isn’t short on power either. A merely OK keyboard and average audio let the side down a bit, and there’s no escaping the fact that it isn’t the best value option out there. Even a MacBook Pro in a similar spec is more affordable. But anyone already embedded in the Samsung ecosystem will feel right at home.

The Samsung Galaxy Book4 Ultra is a fine laptop, there’s no denying that. Samsung always makes some solid hardware on most of its device lineup. But this is certainly never going to replace a MacBook, if that’s what you’re looking for. If not, and you’re just looking for a premium Windows laptop with a wonderful display and solid build, then this is a great choice. Though you can find something similar for less with other brands.

Like its predecessor, the new Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Ultra is powerful enough to handle almost anything you throw at it — including everyday work, video editing and high-end gaming. On top of that, it has a vivid OLED display and is light and thin enough to take with you wherever you go. And let’s not forget its incredible battery life for a Windows 11 laptop. Does the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra challenge the MacBook Pro 16-inch with an M3 Pro chip? In terms of overall performance and battery life, Apple’s laptop wins. However, if you’re a gamer and want access to all the games available on Windows, the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra is the better choice. The Samsung laptop also has a USB-A port for legacy devices, which is something the MacBook Pro lacks. Even if you don’t care for Samsung apps and features, the Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Ultra is an easy choice if you’re looking for an all-around killer Windows 11 laptop. Like the last model, this notebook is worthy of its “Ultra” moniker.

With the Galaxy Book4 Pro 16, Samsung offers a flat 16-inch laptop with the latest Intel Core Ultra Meteor Lake processor and a high-resolution OLED touchscreen. What does the Galaxy Book4 Pro 16 offer against the Apple MacBook Air 15 M3 competition? Let's find out in this review.

The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro in 2024 is a well-designed, lightweight laptop with a premium build and an exceptional OLED touchscreen display. It features the Intel Core Ultra 7 chip, offering strong single-core performance and balanced capabilities across tasks and games. While the speakers could be better and battery life is good but not top-tier, it still outperforms the ASUS Vivobook S15 in gaming but lags behind the ASUS Zenbook S16 in our comparison. The Galaxy Book 4 Pro is ideal for professionals seeking a sleek, portable device with a high-quality display and reliable performance for productivity and casual gaming.

The Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro is a premium laptop, and it is priced as such. My review unit retails for Rs 1,89,990. For the price, the laptop brings good performance, a razor-thin design and a gorgeous display to the mix. That said, it faces tough competition from HP’s Spectre x360, which offers slightly better performance and thermals under load, along with a superior webcam and top-firing speakers, making it my preferred choice between the two.

The Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro is an excellent laptop, especially for those, who are looking for a reliable Windows laptop with a premium build, up-to-date hardware, and great battery life, as this machine can easily deliver over seven hours of battery life (when used for tasks like web browsing and video streaming). While the lack of a dedicated GPU does hurt a bit, especially considering its Rs 1,81,990 price tag, this machine has everything that most users seek from a thin-and-light laptop.

If you like the look of Apple's MacBooks but prefer or simply require the Windows ecosystem, well, you can do a lot worse than the new Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro. Like its predecessor, the very similar Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro, it owes its overall look and feel to the MacBook. Thanks to its sleek wedge-shaped chassis, it's most similar to Apple's now defunct MacBook M1 Air in terms of design. But for features and performance it probably falls somewhere in between the newer and boxier MacBook Air 13-inch (M3) and the base model MacBook Pro 14-inch. Available in both 14-inch and 16-inch formats, this 14-inch model has both advantages and weaknesses compared to Apple's alternatives. The Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro's OLED screen is a definite highlight with incredible image quality plus 120Hz refresh.

Samsung hasn't made dynamic changes to the Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro formula, but Intel's techy progress makes this generation more ready for fun. It looks made for high-flying exec meetings, is surprisingly good for travel considering its size, yet it's now not too bad for light gaming either. You can get more substantial keyboards, beefier speakers, and some other lines are more aggressive on the value front. But this one squared up pretty well to a MacBook Air 15 – but for the same price you get a cracking OLED display, touchscreen and stylus support.

The Galaxy Book4 Pro is a solid Windows offering that manages to rival Apple, at least when it comes to the looks. The base model with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD is priced at Rs 1,39,990 and for Rs 1,71,990 you can double the memory and storage. Considering the RAM is soldered, it would be wise to choose the appropriate model according to your needs. Intel’s new Core Ultra series brings notable improvements including better battery life thanks to its low-power cores, and some AI magic in a variety of apps and software. It’s not a power horse, but considering the form factor it is clear that Intel is on the right path. Buy this if you want a sleek, high-quality Windows notebook that doesn’t compromise on build quality. Additionally, the Galaxy Book4 Pro is suitable for content creators and, if you are into the Samsung ecosystem, the dedicated suite of apps can be quite useful.

Available in both 14-inch and 16-inch formats, this 14-inch model has both advantages and weaknesses compared to Apple's alternatives. The Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro's OLED screen is a definite highlight with incredible image quality plus 120Hz refresh.

If you like the look of Apple's MacBooks but prefer or simply require the Windows ecosystem, well, you can do a lot worse than the new Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro. Reviewing Samsung's Galaxy Book 4 Pro, a 14-inch Intel Core Ultra 7 laptop and one of the best 2024 releases if you want a balance of portability and power. I've been testing the gaming chops, video editing skills and battery life of the Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro this past week and it's easily a Macbook Air alternative. Here's my verdict, and check out my other laptop reviews for other options. Frequent travellers who need a capable laptop for creative tasks should be happy with that Core Ultra 7 performance. Photo editing is a breeze and video editing was also smooth, as long as you don't want to combine two or more 4K videos into a single stream. The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro also boasts upgraded battery life vs the 3 Pro from last year. Besides that, this is an incremental update for sure. The Dynamic AMOLED screen is another stunner and Samsung's stereo speaker setup is respectable for enjoying videos or games.

The Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro offers the right mix of premium design and flagship performance. The all-metal chassis gives it a sturdy yet premium look, while the slim form factor certainly works in favour. The performance is what you expect from a thin and light ultrabook at this price point. The display looks sharp and is surely one of the strong points of the device. The battery life is impressive, and so is the fast charging support. However, the competition is quite tough in this price segment. The HP Spectre x360, Asus Zenbook 14 OLED, and Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 offer similar specifications and performance. So, if you are into a thin and light 2-in-1 laptop and also an existing Samsung mobile user, then the Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 will complete your ecosystem.

I have to say this is one of the best Windows options out there at the moment, especially if you have a creative bend. With pricing starting at Rs 1,79,990, there are two things you should consider before opting for this variant: one, do you really need a screen this size, as there are no smaller options available; and, two, are you really going to use the S-Pen with the touch screen? If your answer is not positive for the two questions above, Samsung has great options in the Galaxy Book4 range that offer the rest of the goodness without these features that you pay extra for. But if you answered yes, then this is the best of Samsung and Windows coming together to create a device that can give you a creative edge.

The Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 is not perfect and the 16" convertible form factor and may not be for everyone with it's larger 16-inch footprint. However, it does offer great battery life, touch input, a stunningly beautiful OLED display, and premium build quality. It's also currently on sale for $1499, which is a competitive value for a premium, convertible laptop with these features and capabilities. If you're in the market for a high-quality, thin-and-light machine, and prefer a larger display and the flexibility of a 360 degree hinge, the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 is definitely worth considering in this age of the AI PC.

The Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 could be an excellent laptop for the right person. Its standout feature is the long battery life, beating most of the Windows laptop field and keeping pace with the MacBook Air. The display can’t be ignored either, with luxurious visuals that are second to none. However, performance falls slightly short of key rivals like the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED, MacBook Air, Acer Swift Edge 16 and LG Gram SuperSlim. As such, if you think you’ll be pushing this device with intensive productivity work and plenty of multitasking, then you may want to consider these excellent rivals. Devices like the Asus and Apple also offer far better audio experiences too. There’s a wide set of options for you to consider in our best laptops guide. Nevertheless, a massive trackpad, 360-degree hinge, solid keyboard, always-excellent S Pen and useful set of ports combine with the other industry-leading standards I’ve mentioned to make this a B+ effort from Samsung.

Such faults as the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 exhibits – no garage for the free S Pen stylus, some thermal issues when you thrash it, a rather cramped SSD and minimal opportunities to upgrade after purchase – are pretty minor and not uncommon to the breed. In the counterbalance, we must consider the excellent display and speaker system, the high-quality keyboard, the Savannah-sized trackpad and the impressive (and not just by Intel standards) battery life. Does that make the Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 the best 16in ultralight on the market right now? In a word, yes.

The Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 builds upon the previous model with some simple touches, like an improved HDMI port, new anti-reflective coating and a tweaked set of colour options. Other than that, it’s all about the AI capabilities and Samsung ecosystem offerings that Intel’s latest chips and it being a “Galaxy” device can offer. You won’t find it for quite as cheap though, with lower priced variants eliminated this time out. But, if you’re interested in the new higher base spec then there’s thankfully only a £50 price bump from the Galaxy Book3 Pro 360. You’ll have to wait for our full review to fully put this year’s performance, display, audio and battery life through its paces. It’ll also be worth looking out for our coverage of other devices in this range, with the Galaxy Book4 Ultra getting the most upgrades from last year, while there’s a new touchscreen for the standard Galaxy Book4 Pro too.

I came away from the Galaxy Book4 Ultra feeling it was less than the sum of its parts. Granted it’s a potent beast but it’s also not much more than a warm-over of the Galaxy Book3 Ultra. I’m also struggling to convince myself that it’s good enough for the asking price when you can have a Dell XPS 16 or a MacBook Pro for roughly the same, or the likes of the awesome Asus Zenbook S16 for a lot less. For the sort of money Samsung is asking for the Galaxy Book4 Ultra I’d want a better keyboard, a better webcam and a laptop that looks like it wasn’t styled by the same person who designed my microwave or fridge-freezer. Until Samsung ticks those boxes I’ll be recommending the Dell XPS 16 to anyone who wants a laptop for professional creative work and a little surreptitious gaming on the side.

Specs-wise this looks like a gaming laptop, and it should do well to keep framerates high in titles such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Elden Ring, but at heart it’s a creator machine - the pre-installed presence of Nvidia’s stable Studio drivers rather than the Game Ready suite shows this. It’s great for heavy rendering workloads, but its portability is also a factor. The screen is great to use, it looks very professional, the trackpad is vast and the battery will last you all day if you don’t push it too hard. For creators, there's a lot to like here, with the prospect of an after-hours jaunt around Night City the cherry on top. While it lacks the excitement of many gaming laptops, the Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Ultra offers a lot of capability thanks to its powerful Intel and Nvidia chips.

The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Ultra is in a challenging market segment but rises to that challenge. It offers an impressive balance of performance and efficiency in a relatively light chassis with a gorgeous 16-inch 120Hz OLED display. This compelling combination makes it a strong contender for a wide variety of use cases, as long as the price isn’t a showstopper. "The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Ultra is in a challenging market segment but rises to that challenge." The biggest challenger on the Windows side is the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i, which is the stronger option if you are a content creator. The battery life is the most significant tradeoff there at nearly three and a half hours less. Overall, it offers superior performance in the areas that count for video editing and photo editing.

Samsung's new premium 16-inch laptop apes Apple's design language and competes hard on build quality, performance and battery life, all of which are excellent. On top of all that, the notebook adds its own OLED touchscreen twist along with surprising value for money, for this class of laptop at least. Only the poor audio quality disappoints.

Out of all of the laptops I’ve reviewed so far, the Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Ultra comes the closest to matching the quality of the MacBook Pro. It’s supremely powerful, flaunts a professional-grade AMOLED screen and has a delightfully long battery life. The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Ultra is consistent across the board and it’s hard to think of many flaws. The big issue, however, is that it effectively costs the same amount of money as a MacBook Pro, despite Apple offering even better battery life, as well as a higher performance ceiling, But if you prefer Windows to macOS, then the Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Ultra is one of the best laptop options for heavy-duty creation. I’m really glad the Galaxy Book4 Ultra exists. We need more proper MacBook Pro alternatives that can compete on a higher level. Now, the Galaxy Book4 Ultra can’t rival the M3 Max in performance verbatim, but it undercuts it in price. It’s still an expensive laptop, of course, but it still comes in hundreds of dollars cheaper than the 16-inch MacBook Pro. It’s also cheaper than the XPS 16. And while it’s not as premium-looking as the XPS, the Galaxy Book4 Ultra offers a more conventional design at a lower price. It also squeezes in more high-end features than something like the cheaper MSI Prestige 16. The Galaxy Book4 Ultra finds a solid hole to fill in the market. In a lot of ways, it makes more sense than some of the other Galaxy Book4 laptops in the lineup, which are often overpriced.

It's a fine time to need a desktop replacement laptop. You have a positive plethora of 16-inch models to choose from, many with dazzling OLED displays, and some with discrete GPUs instead of integrated graphics if you're into visual apps or 1080p gaming. Samsung's Galaxy Book4 Ultra (starts at $2,399.99; $2,999.99 as tested) is a sleek machine with the company's top-quality AMOLED screen technology, up-to-date Intel and Nvidia silicon, and the biggest touchpad and power plug you've ever seen. It's worth checking out, particularly if integration with a Samsung Galaxy phone interests you. But it's expensive, joining models like the Gigabyte Aero 16 OLED and Dell XPS 16 in the high-priced spread.

While it's easy to recommend the Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Ultra as the "MacBook Pro for Samsung users," several upgrades this year, including the Intel Core Ultra chip for AI applications, touchscreen display, and improved battery life, make the laptop a formidable pickup for just about every Windows user. Just note that if you're a content creator who relies on full-sized SD cards to transfer photos and videos, you'll want to pick up a dongle or docking station to work with the Galaxy Book. There's also no charging port on the laptop's right side, so you'll want to think twice when situating near an outlet.

Our barrage of tests concludes that, yes, the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Ultra is an excellent content-creation laptop, just maybe not as fast as the more expensive Dell XPS. But there’s a lot to like here: the Book4 offers a gorgeous OLED screen, — which, to be fair, more competitors are offering — the keyboard is serviceable, and the webcam will be just fine for most purposes. The audio is at the top of the heap, however. Combine the rich screen and the Book4’s powerful audio and this is definitely a multimedia PC you’ll enjoy using. The absolute selling point, as you’ve probably concluded, is that this laptop’s battery life is absolutely top-notch. This is the laptop I’d bring on a flight to Asia. Is this quite a gaming laptop? No, it’s not, but Samsung doesn’t sell it as such. Instead, the Samsung Galaxy Book4 is the luxury coupe that your fingers will want to drive.

The Galaxy Book4 Edge 14 boasts an ultra-slim design with a 14-inch 120 Hz OLED touchscreen and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor. It delivers solid performance for everyday tasks and operates quietly, but the Copilot+ PC disappoints when it comes to battery life.

The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge proves that Arm-powered PCs can deliver the performance to take on the best. It is snappy, quiet and maintains its top performance even when unplugged – something Intel or AMD-powered laptops cannot manage. But where it fails to deliver is on the promise of long battery life. With eight hours of working battery it only matches the supposedly more power-hungry Intel machines, falling far short of Apple’s MacBooks that last up to twice as long. The screen is great, the keyboard is decent and the old-school trackpad is enormous. The machine is certainly thin and light, particularly in its 16in version as tested. But the design is rather dull. The Galaxy Book 4 Edge is a good, but not great machine. Unless you are a Samsung aficionado and can tap into the company’s wider ecosystem, such as its Galaxy phones and earbuds, then there are better Copilot+ PCs options available for similar money.

Samsung has expanded its Galaxy Book4 series with two Snapdragon variants which feature 14-inch and 16-inch screens. The Galaxy Book4 Edge 16 has lots of similarities to the Galaxy Book4 Pro 16 but upon closer inspection, there are quite a few differences—unfortunately mostly negative ones for the new ARM laptop.

The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge is a powerful laptop that's worth the cost if you're willing to commit to the 16-inch, 1TB version with the top-tier Snapdragon processor. The deal is even sweeter if you have a Samsung smartphone and appreciate the integration this laptop brings to the Samsung ecosystem of devices. If neither of these apply to you, the Galaxy Book 4 Edge is still a phenomenal choice for its sheer star power and impressive performance alone. However, if you're on the fence about the price but still want a Copilot+ PC, you might consider the Microsoft Surface Pro or the Asus Vivobook S15 -- both are Snapdragon laptops with OLED displays available for quite a bit less.

Samsung's Galaxy Book4 Edge succeeds as a zippy Copilot+ Windows 11 laptop that provides plenty of runway for productivity and personal tasks. You'll view it all on a vibrant and poppy 14-inch or 16-inch Dynamic AMOLED display, and the overall build is focused on being lightweight and portable. It even boasts exclusive ecosystem features for using a Galaxy Phone on the laptop or stretching your screen to a Galaxy Tab. However, we were expecting longer battery life and a more premium build for the price, which is higher than that of competing laptops.

The Galaxy Book4 Edge is a sweet entry point into the Snapdragon X Elite and Copilot+ PC field if you're looking to get in early. We don't generally judge the Copilot AI features of these laptops to be anywhere near essential at this stage, but there are some useful additions, and they'll soon be more ubiquitous as Intel and AMD launch their next-gen platforms. The Galaxy Book4 Edge is not the system to pick if you're looking for a cheap way into the AI PC space, especially our upgraded model, but it is one of the nicer offerings. You may find its big roomy screen and more premium design worthwhile if you’re shopping for a desktop replacement, though we suspect the base model is a better deal given our CPU-upgraded unit's relatively small advantage over other Snapdragons.

The Book4 Edge is a good, thin, and lightweight laptop for someone like a student who needs a big-screen machine that can handle multiple open apps with ease. It has excellent battery life, a nice screen, and good looks. I just can’t see why Samsung put the most powerful Snapdragon X Elite chip into a laptop and then didn’t take advantage of it. There’s no reason to get the $1,750 model I tested; the $1,450 base model is a much better value for 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and the Snapdragon X Elite X1E-80-100 chip. The Snapdragon processor makes the Book4 Edge one of the thinnest, lightest 16-inch Windows laptops you can get, with great battery life and performance.

The implementation of the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor to power the next generation of Galaxy AI has largely been a triumph. The manufacturer’s latest ultrabook features a leading battery life combined with a stunning display and some handy functionality for the average user at a price which is reasonable. However, if I were to weigh up between this and the MacBook Pro M3 for the same price then I would bet on Apple’s silicon instead. Both machines are ARM-based, although, the Californian company has the software to work for the hardware and not the other way around. Taken in isolation, the Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge is power-efficient, gorgeous, and lightweight. If you’re looking for a more casual machine for watching movies, getting work done, or getting creative then this one ticks all the right boxes.

All things considered, if you're shopping for a laptop at this time, it may be worth sitting tight for a bit. Not only are new Snapdragon-based machines still coming to the market, but both Intel and AMD are about to launch new mobile processors within weeks, and those chips promise big performance and efficiency gains. It will be fascinating to see how Snapdragon X Elite holds up against the two-pronged assault from the x86-64 Windows juggernauts. Regardless of what comes out in the coming months, the Galaxy Book4 Edge 16 is a quality product in its own right, and for that reason, we're giving it our Recommended award. Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Elite is the real deal that's driving an inflection point in the PC industry, and Samsung's Galaxy Book4 Edge delivers impressive performance, a gorgeous display and excellent battery life in this class.

Just as the same suggests, this laptop is a lot like the other Samsung Galaxy Book PCs on the outside, with an AI-ready CPU injected. That means better battery life for light work, although we don't get mega improvements elsewhere and you should prepare for some minor early adopter niggles.

The Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge is a great laptop, there’s no doubt about it. The display is absolutely beautiful, the design is solid aluminum, and it’s extremely thin and light. Yet, thanks to the Snapdragon X Elite hardware, this machine can run for a very long time on a charge even while using a more power-hungry OLED screen. The big concern is the price. At $1,749, you’re paying a good amount extra for that top-end Snapdragon X Elite hardware, which doesn’t make a huge difference. Plus, since this laptop is only available with 16GB of RAM, some workloads may perform better on a Snapdragon X Elite laptop with 32GB of RAM. There are better values to be had elsewhere. You can pick up a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x with 1TB of storage and 32GB of RAM for just $1,313. That’s a lot less money for double the RAM. Yes, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x is a bit smaller and it has lower-end Snapdragon X Elite hardware. But they’re pretty comparable, performance-wise. Luckily, as we’re finishing this review, this machine is already on sale.

Those two small things put a dent in the appeal of what is otherwise a very appealing laptop. It’s well made, has a fabulous screen, is fast and responsive, and battery life is still great, albeit not quite as good as I had hoped it would be. However, its rivals hold an edge over it, whether that be for pure value for money – the Asus Vivobook S 15 (S5507) offers more bang for your buck at £1,300 – or battery life, where both the Vivobook and Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 come out on top. There isn’t too much in it, though, and if you choose the Samsung over those options you’ll still be mightily impressed.

The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 is a stylish and well-made laptop with a decent keyboard, good battery life and a surprisingly competent audio system, but it’s all undermined by a low-quality display, which has no place in an £899 laptop. Even in a £749 laptop, it isn’t good enough. For similar money, you can buy a laptop with a discrete GPU such as the Acer Aspire 7, a more powerful CPU such as the Huawei MateBook D 16, or a better display like the Lenovo LOQ Gen 9.

Samsung: Samsung Group is the largest South Korean conglomerate and was founded in 1938. Samsung Group employed 489,000 people in 2014 and is one of the world's largest companies in terms of revenue and market strength. The name Samsung means "Three Stars" in Korean and represents the three sons of the company's founder. The company was founded in 1938 as a grocery store. With its subsidiary Samsung Electronics, founded in 1969, Samsung took up the production of electrotechnical items, focusing on consumer electronics and household appliances at an early stage. Other branches in which the large corporation is active include mechanical engineering, automobiles (Hyundai), insurance, wholesale, real estate and leisure. Samsung manufactures a wide range of electronic products, including smartphones, televisions, home appliances and semiconductors. The company's Galaxy line of smartphones is one of the most popular in the world. Samsung is also a major player in the semiconductor industry, making memory chips and processors for many other electronics manufacturers.
With these GPUs you are able to play modern and demanding games fluently at medium detail settings and HD resolution.
Intel Arc 7-Core: Integrated graphics adapter based on the Xe LPG architecture (similar to the dedicated Arc GPUs, but with a focus on efficiency). Provides 7 of the 8 Xe cores (112 Xe Vector Engines) and 7 ray tracing units.
NVIDIA NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU: Mid-range graphics card for laptops based on the Ada Lovelace architecture. Offers 6 GB of GDDR6 VRAM (96 Bit) and is configurable with a TGP of 35 - 115W (+ Dynamic Boost).
Intel Arc 8-Core: Integrated graphics adapter based on the Xe LPG architecture (similar to the dedicated Arc GPUs, but with a focus on efficiency). Provides all 8 Xe cores (128 Xe vector engines) and 8 ray tracing units.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
Intel Iris Xe G7 96EUs: Integrated graphics card in Intel Tiger Lake G4 SoCs based on the new Gen. 12 architecture with 96 EUs (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). The clock rate depends on the processor model. The Tiger Lake chips are produced in the modern 10nm+ process at Intel.
Qualcomm Adreno X1-85 3.8 TFLOPS: An integrated graphics adapter that four Qualcomm Snapdragon X processors feature, as of Sep 2024. It has 1,536 unified shaders at its disposal that are said to run at up to 1,250 MHz. The underlying architecture is reportedly in many respects the same as what was used in the Adreno 730. While thankfully faster than the aging Intel Iris Xe (96 EUs), the Adreno fails to match the Radeon 780M meaning Baldur's Gate 3, a triple-A title released in 2023, is barely playable at 1080p on low with 23 fps on average. Triple-A games of 2024 fare even worse, in no small part due to Qualcomm's subpar graphics drivers.
Intel UHD Graphics 64EUs: Integrated graphics card in Intel Alder Lake SoCs based on the new Gen. 12 architecture (Xe) with 64 EUs (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). The clock rate depends on the processor model.
Qualcomm Adreno X1-45 1.7 TFLOPS: An integrated graphics adapter that the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core X1P-42-100 SoC features. Compared to the faster 3.8 TFLOPS and 4.6 TFLOPS X1-85 iGPUs, this one does not just run at lower clock speeds but also has fewer unified shaders at its disposal, with 768 being the most likely number. The underlying architecture is reportedly not much different from what was used in the Adreno 730. As for its gaming performance, it's only just sufficient for pre-2020 games at resolutions such as HD 720p on low graphics settings.
These graphics cards are able to play the latest and most demanding games in high resolutions and full detail settings with enabled Anti-Aliasing.
NVIDIA NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU: High-end graphics card for laptops based on the Ada Lovelace architecture. Offers 8 GB GDDR6 (128 Bit) and is configurable with a TGP of 35 - 115W (+ Dynamic Boost).

14.00:
14 inch display size represents a middle ground between the small subnotebook formats and the screens of the standard 15 inch laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, provides good resolutions with usable detail sizes, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact.
In the past, 14-inch devices were very rare, but now they are the standard for laptops after the 15-inchers.
16.00:
This range for display formats was and is a rarity. It is larger than the general standard of 15 inches, but not yet in the range of large workstations. One usually has higher screen resolutions available, but portability suffers from that.
