The Dell Latitude 5455 makes a strong statement in professional elegance, boasting a minimalist “Titan Grey” design crafted with a significant commitment to recycled and low-emissions aluminum. This not only highlights Dell’s environmental responsibility but also results in a remarkably solid, premium-feeling chassis that admirably resists fingerprints. It’s impressively thin and light, making it exceptionally portable, and features a clever hinge design that lifts the base for improved typing comfort and airflow. Security is well-addressed with an FHD/IR camera supporting Dell’s intelligent privacy features and, crucially, a physical privacy shutter, complemented by a fingerprint reader integrated into the keyboard.

If you are purely a business user and got this laptop from your employer, you shouldn’t have any real complaints. What the device has going for it is very good build quality, a very good keyboard for typing content, an anti-glare display that works well in different lighting conditions, decent overall performance, and a day-long battery life. It is also really lightweight and comfortable to carry/use for long durations. Where it falters is that Windows on ARM still has bugs to iron out, and that’s more of a Qualcomm-Microsoft thing to fix. However, there are laptops in a similar price range that offer better battery life, and my biggest gripe is the lack of an HDMI port. For an asking price of Rs 1,19,950 + taxes for the configuration I have, it is a tad steep, especially if you compare it with Dell’s own lineup as well as the competition’s “non-business” laptop lineup. Then again, they wouldn’t come with Dell’s security features such as Dell SafeID and Secure BIOS, which is a big factor for business users.

Qualcomm Adreno X1-45 1.7 TFLOPS: An integrated graphics adapter that the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core X1P-42-100 SoC features. Compared to the faster 3.8 TFLOPS and 4.6 TFLOPS X1-85 iGPUs, this one does not just run at lower clock speeds but also has fewer unified shaders at its disposal, with 768 being the most likely number. The underlying architecture is reportedly not much different from what was used in the Adreno 730. As for its gaming performance, it's only just sufficient for pre-2020 games at resolutions such as HD 720p on low graphics settings.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

SD X Plus X1P-42-100: A relatively affordable ARM architecture processor (SoC) for use in Windows laptops. The X Plus 8-core chip features 8 Oryon CPU cores running at up to 3.4 GHz, along with the 1.7 TFLOPS X1-45 Adreno iGPU and the 45 TOPS Hexagon NPU. The super-fast LPDDR5x-8448 memory controller known to us from other Snapdragon X chips, USB 4.0 support, TB 4 support and PCIe 4 support are all onboard as well.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.
