The Galaxy Book4 Pro is a solid Windows offering that manages to rival Apple, at least when it comes to the looks. The base model with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD is priced at Rs 1,39,990 and for Rs 1,71,990 you can double the memory and storage. Considering the RAM is soldered, it would be wise to choose the appropriate model according to your needs. Intel’s new Core Ultra series brings notable improvements including better battery life thanks to its low-power cores, and some AI magic in a variety of apps and software. It’s not a power horse, but considering the form factor it is clear that Intel is on the right path. Buy this if you want a sleek, high-quality Windows notebook that doesn’t compromise on build quality. Additionally, the Galaxy Book4 Pro is suitable for content creators and, if you are into the Samsung ecosystem, the dedicated suite of apps can be quite useful.

If you like the look of Apple's MacBooks but prefer or simply require the Windows ecosystem, well, you can do a lot worse than the new Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro. Like its predecessor, the very similar Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro, it owes its overall look and feel to the MacBook. Thanks to its sleek wedge-shaped chassis, it's most similar to Apple's now defunct MacBook M1 Air in terms of design. But for features and performance it probably falls somewhere in between the newer and boxier MacBook Air 13-inch (M3) and the base model MacBook Pro 14-inch. Available in both 14-inch and 16-inch formats, this 14-inch model has both advantages and weaknesses compared to Apple's alternatives. The Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro's OLED screen is a definite highlight with incredible image quality plus 120Hz refresh.

Reviewing Samsung's Galaxy Book 4 Pro, a 14-inch Intel Core Ultra 7 laptop and one of the best 2024 releases if you want a balance of portability and power. I've been testing the gaming chops, video editing skills and battery life of the Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro this past week and it's easily a Macbook Air alternative. Here's my verdict, and check out my other laptop reviews for other options. Frequent travellers who need a capable laptop for creative tasks should be happy with that Core Ultra 7 performance. Photo editing is a breeze and video editing was also smooth, as long as you don't want to combine two or more 4K videos into a single stream. The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro also boasts upgraded battery life vs the 3 Pro from last year. Besides that, this is an incremental update for sure. The Dynamic AMOLED screen is another stunner and Samsung's stereo speaker setup is respectable for enjoying videos or games.

Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro 14
The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro 14 carves a niche as a premium laptop catering to both creative professionals and everyday users. It boasts a stunning AMOLED display, powerful Intel or AMD processors, and a sleek design, all wrapped in a compact and lightweight package. The centerpiece of the Galaxy Book 4 Pro 14 is undoubtedly the captivating 14-inch display. Users have two main options: a QHD+ (2880 x 1800 pixels) IPS panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate, or a stunning 3.2K (3200 x 2000 pixels) AMOLED panel with an even wider 16:9 aspect ratio. Both options boast excellent color accuracy and wide viewing angles, making them ideal for creative work, watching movies, or browsing the web. The QHD+ IPS panel caters well to multitasking and content creation with its sharp visuals and smooth refresh rate. The 120Hz refresh rate ensures a more fluid and responsive experience, especially when scrolling through content or working with fast-paced applications. However, for users who prioritize exceptional color accuracy and deeper blacks, the 3.2K AMOLED panel steals the show. This display delivers a truly immersive experience with vibrant colors, inky blacks, and outstanding contrast, making it perfect for tasks like photo and video editing, graphic design, or even professional content creation. The Galaxy Book 4 Pro 14 offers a choice between 12th Gen Intel Core processors or the latest AMD Ryzen 6000 or 7000 Series processors. This allows users to select the platform that best suits their needs. Intel processors typically offer strong single-core performance, making them ideal for productivity tasks like document editing and web browsing. AMD processors, on the other hand, prioritize efficiency and offer more cores, benefiting applications that leverage multi-threading, such as video editing and 3D rendering.
Complementing the processors are memory options ranging from 16GB to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM, ensuring smooth multitasking and efficient background app management. Storage options include speedy PCIe NVMe SSDs with capacities ranging from 512GB to 2TB, providing ample space for creative assets, applications, and files. The Galaxy Book 4 Pro 14 prioritizes aesthetics with a sleek and modern design. The lightweight aluminum chassis exudes a premium feel while maintaining portability. It comes in two color schemes, Moonstone Gray and Misty Pink, catering to different user preferences. Samsung claims up to 17 hours of battery life for some configurations with the QHD+ IPS display. While real-world battery life might vary depending on usage patterns and display brightness, the Galaxy Book 4 Pro 14 should offer enough juice to power through a workday on a single charge. The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro 14 establishes itself as a compelling contender for content creators, professionals, and users who prioritize a stunning display, powerful performance options, and a sleek design. The wide variety of configurations allows for customization based on individual needs and budget. Whether users choose Intel or AMD processors, they will get a machine capable of handling demanding tasks.

There are hardly any tablets in this display size range anymore. For subnotebooks, on the other hand, it is the standard format.
The advantage of subnotebooks is that the entire laptop can be small and therefore easily portable. The smaller display also has the advantage of requiring less power, which further improves battery life and thus mobility. The disadvantage is that reading texts is more strenuous on the eyes. High resolutions are more likely to be found in standard laptops.
