With a release date set for February 26, 2026, Resident Evil 9, which will feature a third-person view, is eagerly awaited by fans of the franchise. And recently, a leak revealed more details about a feature of this title that will make it very realistic.
While the entire license is based on an imaginary story, that doesn't prevent developers from adding a touch of realism. And that will be the case in Resident Evil 9, according to insider Resident_bio.
According to him, the injuries and bloodstains on Grace Ashcroft caused by various creatures will remain throughout the story. And that's not all, because they can even evolve based on the actions taken by players:
"RE9 will have Grace's battle damage/blood carry into cutscenes. There are scenes in the demo where her shoulder can still be injured if she's been bitten. This will keep tension high even during story bits as we're reminded of our health situation.”
This detail can be verified in the screenshots shared by the latter in his post on X. They show a sequence in which Grace is bitten on the shoulder by a creature, and we can see the wound develop and blood flow in the following cutscenes.
And while this may seem insignificant to some, to others it is revolutionary. In previous games in the series, scars and marks were simply visible from start to finish. However, in Resident Evil 9, this detail adds a touch of realism, plunging players into absolute horror.
