RedMagic Realm released as new curved QD-OLED gaming monitor with huge screen size

Nearly two months have passed since RedMagic introduced the Realm, a QD-OLED gaming monitor that spans 49-inches with a 1800R curvature. For context, the RedMagic Realm debuted alongside the RedMagic 5088 Partition, a 27-inch alternative with an AU Optronics (AUO) 7.0 panel that contains 5,088 Mini LED backlight zones. While it took under a month for RedMagic to release the 5088 Partition in China, the company has waited until now to offer the Realm domestically.

To recap, the RedMagic Realm delivers a 5,120 x 1,440-pixel resolution, as well as a 240 Hz refresh rate and 0.03 ms response times. Additionally, RedMagic has integrated AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-SYNC technologies to mitigate image tearing, while the panel itself is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified. Moreover, the monitor is packed with ports, including a pair of DisplayPort 1.4 connections, a single HDMI 2.1 port and four USB ports with a sole Type-C connection that delivers 90 W Power Delivery.

Initially, the RedMagic Realm will be available in China for CNY 8,999, which converts to ~$1,260 at current exchange rates. Eventually, the monitor will retail for CNY 9,499 (~$1,331), though. Unfortunately, RedMagic still remains quiet about global availability and pricing. However, the AOC AGON PRO PD49, ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG49WCD, Philips Evnia 49M2C8900 and MSI MPG 491CQP should all be viable global alternatives given that they rely upon the same Samsung Display panel as RedMagic's effort.
