This model is powered by either the Ryzen 9 8940HS or Ryzen 7 8840HS and the 1 liter case can fit the additional RX 7600M XT dGPU. Port selection highlights include 2x USB4 ports, 2x 2.5 GbE jacks and an SD card reader.

Geekom presented a few new mini PC models at CES this year, and the one that really stands out is the APro8 Max, as it comes with a vertical orientation and is slightly bigger than the usual 4 x 4 models. This is also among the first mini PCs to feature AMD’s latest Hawk Point mobile processors.

As far as performance goes, the top-of-the-line Ryzen 9 8940HS is very similar to last year’s R9 7940HS except it features a more powerful NPU for AI tasks. Geekom offers an R7 8840HS option as well, and both come with the Radeon 780M iGPU. However, the slightly larger 1 liter chassis offers enough room for an additional Radeon RX 7600M XT dGPU that can be used for resource-intensive games and content creation tasks.

Maximum RAM capacity is 64 GB DDR5-5600 and storage space goes up to 2 TB via 2x PCIe 4.0 M.2 slot. Port selection includes 6x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, 2x USB4, 2x HDMI 2.0 + 2x DP 1.4 video outputs, dual 2.5 GbE jacks, mic + headphone jacks and an SD 4.0 card reader. Wireless connectivity is available through a Wi-Fi 6E + BT 5.2 card. Dimensions, with stand measure 251.5 x 192.9 x 92 mm.

No pricing info at the moment, but Geekom announced that the APro8 Max will start shipping some time in Q3 2024.
