With many manufacturers releasing ample amounts of AM5 motherboards, it is quite the challenge to find the right one for your needs. Let’s explore five X670E motherboards that we think you should consider.

As a side note all motherboards except the Godlike (which has both) have 2.5g ethernet.

1. ASRock X670E Pro RS: An affordable entry level X670E motherboard with plenty of storage to boot.

If you are looking to spend less than $300 on a brand new X670E motherboard with five M.2 NVME slots, the ASRock X670E Pro RS has got you covered. If those aren’t enough it has six SATA 3 connectors for SATA SSDs and HDDs.

2. MSI MAG X670E TOMAHAWK WIFI: Great audio and plenty of USB C connectivity under $300.

Another great option under $300 is the MSI MAG X670E Tomahawk Wifi. Despite having one less M.2 NVME slot when compared to the Pro RS, the Tomahawk makes it up with an additional USB C connector at the rear. With one of the Type-C connecters being able to display output. Furthermore, the TOMAHAWK WIFI comes with the Realtek ALC1200 which is better than the ALC897 audio codec in the Pro RS.

3. Gigabyte X670E Aorus Master: When you need 2 PCIe Gen 5.0 M.2 slots for less than $500.

At $469.99 on Amazon, the Aorus Master gives you two PCIe Gen 5.0 M.2 for those who demand the fastest storage speeds and comes with the newer ALC1220 audio codec for those looking for better audio. It also features two USB Type-C ports just like the Tomahawk with display functionality and has a total of 12 USB ports on the back.

4. ASRock X670E Taichi Carrara: For those looking for a clean marble aesthetic.

The unique marble decal on the Taichi makes it suitable for those planning a white colored build. The standout features for this motherboard are its two PCIe 5.0 x16 slots with two USB 4 Type-C ports. Furthermore, it has the same ALC4082 audio codec found in the $1299 Godlike motherboard at just $522.99 on Amazon.

5. MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE: When you must have balls to the wall features no matter the cost.

At $1,299, this motherboard comes in a big box with an additional M.2 expansion card called the MSI Xpander-Z Gen 5 Dual and a vision dashboard that MSI claims can display system information. The standout feature is the 3x PCIe gen 5.0 x16 slots for those who intend to use multiple GPUs or an M.2 NVME expansion card etc. For connectivity it packs 2.5G and 10G ethernet and comes with ALC4082 audio codec with the ESS ES9280AQ. The only downside is the lack of USB 4 connectivity on such an expensive motherboard!
