Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC listed on SteamDB
FromSoftware is yet to reveal pretty much anything concrete about Elden Ring's first story DLC: Shadow of the Erdtree. A company executive likened it to Bloodborne's The Old Hunters in an earlier interview but said it would be a while before we'd see it in action. Despite FromSoftware's stoic silence, SteamDB has rekindled hope for all the Tarnished waiting to dig into Shadow of the Erdtree.
Five days ago, an unnamed DLC was added to Elden Ring's Steam listing. This is the first major new entry into the database two years after the game's launch. The entry (App ID: 2778580) doesn't reveal anything at all and is likely a placeholder for Shadow of the Erdtree. Nonetheless, it tells us that it could be at the end phases of development, ready to be deployed.
A shady leak from earlier purported that Shadow of the Erdtree would add an extra map layer to The Lands Between. That could either involve a Lords of the Fallen-esque "dark world". It also claimed the DLC was originally supposed to be released in two parts, but FromSoftware decided to smush them together at the last minute.
