Xiaomi has released the Redmi Watch 4 globally as part of today's Redmi Note 13 and Redmi Buds 5 series launch event. Since the company has been selling the Redmi Watch 4 in China since the end of November 2023, its technical specifications should be no surprise. In summary, the smartwatch contains the following hardware:
- 1.97-inch AMOLED display, 450 x 390 pixels, 600 nits peak brightness
- 470 mAh battery
- GNSS location services module (GPS, Galileo, Glonass, BeiDou, QZSS)
- Electronic compass
- Heart rate sensor
- Blood oxygen sensor
Additionally, Xiaomi claims that the Redmi Watch 4 is 5 ATM water resistant. However, it seems that the global Redmi Watch 4 lacks the NFC module for contactless payments that its Chinese counterpart integrates. Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity remains, though, as does Xiaomi's official estimate 20-day battery life estimate.
For some reason, Xiaomi's global product page does not mention HyperOS either, the OS that underpins the Redmi Watch 4 in China. While the Redmi Watch 4 only comes in Obsidian Black and Silver Grey finishes, Xiaomi also offers Dark Cyan, Mint Green and Pastel Purple watch straps. The Redmi Watch 4 retails for €99.99 in the Eurozone and is orderable now through its retail platform.
