Oukitel BT50 smartwatch with Bluetooth calling now available
The Oukitel BT50 rugged smartwatch is now available in countries worldwide. The company describes the new budget model as ‘’military”, as it allegedly works at high temperatures and low pressures. The wearable has a chunky strap and round watch face, featuring a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a 466 x 466 px resolution.
The BT50 is relatively simple, with basic health tracking of metrics such as heart rate, blood oxygen saturation and sleep health; the accuracy of the data captured by the gadget’s sensors is unclear. You can log your exercise with over 100 sports modes, though you must have a connected Android or iOS phone to use GPS. Bluetooth 5.2 allows you to take phone calls, receive notifications from apps like WhatsApp, Instagram and YouTube and control music. Other features include an AI voice assistant, weather, step count and estimated calorie burn.
A 400mAh battery supposedly allows the watch to run for up to 15 days with typical use or 45 days in standby mode, and the wearable fully recharges in two hours.
