Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree trailer confirmed for a February 21 release
Last year, FromSoftware announced it was working on Elden Ring DLC. Its teaser revealed very little other than the fact that it would be called Shadow of the Erdtree. The company has since kept mum about the project, resulting in a deluge of leaks and rumours. Now, FromSoftware has broken its silence and provided us with an update.
The first trailer for Elden Ring (available for the PS5 and Xbox Series X) Shadow of the Erdtree will be broadcast on FromSoftware's YouTube channel on at 21/02/2024 15:00 UTC, roughly about 16 hours after this post was written. Unfortunately, we'll only get three minutes worth of footage. A release date seems unlikely as the "first" trailer indicates there will be others, although one can still be optimistic.
It would have been ideal if it dropped on Elden Ring's second anniversary (February 25), but it is unlikely to drop so soon. The wait will be well worth it, though, because a FromSoftware developer likened Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Bloodborne's iconic The Old Hunters DLC. A sketchy rumour stated it adds an entirely new layer to the already vast map, meaning The Lands Between just got a whole lot more exciting.
