Razer has now outlined the specs with which the Blade 14 2024 is available from today (January 23, 2024), the first day of its pre-order phase. They include the new Ryzen 9 8945HS silicon touted to confer "advanced AI" on this iteration of the compact, metallic ultrabook. Meanwhile, its 2023 predecessor has gone on sale on Amazon.

The latest Blade 14 comes with the same series of graphics cards as its immediate predecessor; nevertheless, Razer touts its as a powerful generative AI machine "that’s made to move" thanks to a thin and light chassis that nevertheless packs Ryzen 9 8945HS power.

The 2024 ultrabook has just become available to order direct from Razer, with an RTX 4060-powered base model for $2,199.99 (or €2,499 in Europe) as promised at CES 2024. This entry-level SKU does at least have the same 1TB SSD and "pro-calibrated" QHD+ 240Hz display as every other pre-order option, although its 5,600MHz RAM is 16GB out of the box.

An upgrade to 32GB of RAM and RTX 4070 graphics costs $2,699.99 (or €2,999). That version comes in traditional Razer black, with the Mercury alternative unavailable in a 16GB/RTX 4060 configuration, and also only in stock in the US at the time of writing anyway.

The new Blade 14 can be paid for from today (January 23, 2024), but will only ship from February 6. In the meantime, its 2023 counterpart is available at a discount on Amazon.

The Ryzen 9 7940HS-powered ultrabook is now $1,999.99 with the RTX 4060 card, or 17% less than its former list price of $2,399.99, or $2,399.99 as an RTX 4070-powered laptop as opposed to $2,699.99 as before, with an unfortunate lack of similar deals on Amazon in Europe to be found right now.
