Nubia's plans for "extensive global expansion" involve upcoming smartphones aimed at various different niches. Like those destined for specific 'gaming', 'audio' and foldable genres, they have a new series name that should define their commitment "to provide a wider range of global users" with "the opportunity to experience (our) cutting-edge photography technology".
To that end, the first-gen Focus and Focus Pro have been introduced as mid-range counterparts to the Nubia Z60 Ultra, with dual rear cameras. They are touted to deliver "professional" features such as 4K recording, RAW HDR and "RAW super night mode"...then again, their main NEOVISION-branded sensors are of the 108MP resolution that has been used to variable effects in devices from other brands.
The Focus and Focus Pro are also slated to sport 6.6- and 6.72-inch "Live Island" 120Hz displays respectively sustained 5,000mAh batteries "with AI power-saving technology". Nubia has yet to outline their SoCs in detail, only mentioning a 2.2GHz octa-core 6nm chipset for the vanilla Focus.
The Focus 5G line is also on track to benefit from DTS audio and UFS 3.1 storage and to start from $199.
