With the Nothing Phone (2a), the manufacturer will officially unveil its most affordable mid-range smartphone to date in a few days, and now already providing a glimpse of the device at the Mobile World Congress, explaining some of the background.

The Nothing Phone (2a) appeared around a week ago on leaked product images, and now Nothing has provided an official look at the mid-range smartphone in the video embedded below. The device is similar to the Nothing Phone (2) (approx. 600 euros on Amazon), apart from the fact that the cameras are positioned in the middle and the Glyph interface is reduced to three shorter LED strips.

In the video, Nothing mainly talks about the inspiration behind the design. According to the video, the design is based on a concept that was developed before the launch of the Nothing Phone (1). However, the manufacturer has made some adjustments and added white color pigments to the back for a diffused look, while the buttons have been colored black to match the color of the cameras.

Nothing emphasizes that the buttons are made of aluminum, while the manufacturer reiterates that the transparent back increases the development effort of the design many times over. The Nothing Phone (2a) will be officially unveiled on March 5. According to earlier rumors and leaks, the mid-range smartphone will be launched in Europe at prices starting at 349 euros, and should therefore achieve a strong price-performance ratio.

Nothing is said to feature a Pro version of the Dimensity 7200 and a 120 Hz AMOLED display. Customers can also expect a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 32 MP selfie camera, and up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash memory, while the base model only has 8 GB and 128 GB of memory respectively.
