Apparent leaked Nothing Phone (2a) product images reveal new Google Pixel 7a and Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G challenger
Nothing is on the verge of introducing its next smartphone, roughly seven months after releasing the Phone (2) (curr. $676 on Amazon). While the full unveiling of the Phone (2a) remains a few days away, a Nothing Community member posting as Greg2024 appears to have revealed half a dozen official-looking renders. Although we cannot confirm the images' authenticity, the designs shown match earlier leaks like hands-on photos and @OnLeaks renders.
However, the post has now been removed, which only adds to speculation that the images were authentic. If actual representations of Nothing's final product, then they confirm previous expectations, such as the release of the Phone (2a) in black and white colours. Additionally, both models feature Nothing's infamous Glyph Interface, albeit on a simplified basis compared to those that Nothing includes in the Phone (1) and Phone (2). Similarly, the Phone (2a) has a translucent finish, regardless of its overarching colour.
Despite this, very little of the device's interior can be seen, with Nothing covering most of its internals with various plastic elements. According to other rumours, the Phone (2a) will start in Europe with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage for €349. Alternatively, the handset will be available for €399 with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Based on various specification leaks, it seems that Nothing has designed the Phone (2a) to directly challenge the likes of the Google Pixel 7a and Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G, as well as the Nothing Phone (1). For now, Nothing is anticipated to release the Phone (2a) on March 5, with an MWC 2024 showcase occurring on February 27.
