Skagen has released its second-generation smartwatch. The new Skagen Falster 2 maintains the style of the original, but adds more functionality so that it can compete with the best on the market.

Alongside the ZenBook Flip convertibles, Asus has also announced new ZenBook ultrabooks in 13, 14, and 15-inch form factors. All ZenBook models come with a high screen-to-body ratio of 95% and the smaller variants use the trackpad area as a virtual NumberPad. Internally, all the new ZenBooks include the new Intel 'Whiskey Lake-U' CPUs with the ZenBook 15 offering graphics options up to the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Max-Q.

Asus has unveiled updates to its ZenBook Flip lineup of convertibles. Both the ZenBook Flip 13 and Flip 15 sport even more slimmer bezels than their predecessors and come upgraded with the latest Intel 'Whiskey Lake-U' CPUs. The ZenBook Flip 13 features a unique Precision touchpad that doubles up as the Numpad while the ZenBook Flip 15 offers a PANTONE-certified display with NVIDIA discrete graphics.

The Toshiba Portege family has always been special with its matte touchscreens, integrated VGA ports, and unique magnesium alloy designs that look very different from the more popular Lenovo ThinkPad and Dell Latitude competitors. The latest 13.3-inch model will give a Surface-like experience while offering many more connectivity options than the Microsoft solution.

At IFA 2018, Acer unveiled the updated Predator Orion line of gaming desktops. A Geekbench entry has surfaced for a new Qualcomm SoC and a closer examination reveals that this is indeed the Snapdragon 8180 SoC that was rumored to be in development exclusively for Windows 10 on ARM notebooks. The Snapdragon 8180 was originally referred to as the Snapdragon 1000 and it offers a higher 15W TDP envelope to power typical mainstream computing tasks. The initial benchmark scores, however, are not very convincing.

The upcoming OPPO Realme 2 is the successor of the Realme 1, which arrived less than four months ago with a MediaTek Helio P60 processor under the hood and a 6-inch display. LG is adding two new devices to its G7 portfolio. The G7 One is the first LG smartphone to feature a Snapdragon 835 SoC and is part of the Android One program. The G7 Fit, on the other hand, comes with an older Snapdragon 821 SoC but offers two storage options. HMD Global, the new home for Nokia phones, has licensed the PureView trademark from Microsoft, which earlier had the rights to use it when it acquired the Nokia Devices and Services Division in 2014. A PureView-branded camera signifies imaging excellence. Apple is expected to launch three new iPhone X successors this September and apparently, the company is referring to them as 'S' devices as they are externally similar to the iPhone X and only sport internal upgrades. David Katz, a 24-year old gamer opened fire at a Madden eSports tournament in Jacksonville, Florida killing two players and injuring eleven others. The players had gathered at the GLHF Game Bar to compete for qualifying in the advanced stages of the tournament when this tragic incident occurred. Police are investigating the case and a possible motive behind the incident has not yet been released.
