OnePlus 7 launch date to be announced "next Tuesday"

We may think we know when the next OnePlus flagship will be officially unveiled. However, the company's chief executive officer (CEO) has stated that the applicable rumors will be confirmed or denied on April 23, 2019. Judging by the typical product cycle associated with this company, the event itself is likely to follow in about a month from then.
OnePlus is a smartphone OEM often capable of unleashing a deluge of hype around its upcoming releases. This year has been no different, and not just because the company has already claimed it will be one of the first to 5G this year. The rumor mill has cranked out speculation that the anticipated 2019 flagship from this company, the 7, will be joined by a novel variant called the 7 Pro.
One leak in particular claims to have uncovered the launch date of these phones in advance. It states that the 7 and 7 Pro (in addition to a probable third 5G version) will be unveiled on May 14, 2019. This speculation did not result in any official clarification from the company. However, it now appears that we are only days away from the same.
OnePlus' CEO, Pete Lau, has announced that this date will be officially affirmed on April 23. Therefore, we will learn whether the company will keep to its typical product schedule in 2019 or not. Therefore, it is still possible that this event was indeed scheduled for May 14; however, it is also known that OnePlus is also capable of changing its plans at the last minute if necessary.
