OPPO's cost-effective sub-brand, Realme, has unleashed a new device on the Indian market. It is called the 3 Pro, and has the Snapdragon 710 processor as expected. Its specs and price may put it in the same ring as the Redmi Note 7 Pro, although the new Redmi may not compete with it in one particular area: rear cameras.
The Note 7 Pro has an impressive 48MP main module, whereas the new Realme has a 16+5MP rear-shooter arrangement. On the other hand, the brand asserts that the 3 Pro can scale images up to 64MP using Ultra HD mode. This new mid-ranger also boasts a night mode, 480fps slow-mo and the ability to shoot multiple images in bursts. This phone has also ported some worthwhile specs from its brand's OPPO parent, including 20-watt VOOC charging and Color OS based on Android 9.0 (Pie).
The 3 Pro also has a 25MP front-facing camera equipped with AI features. It is housed in a waterdrop notch, so as to give the FHD+ screen a 90.8% display-to-body ratio. This Realme phone has 4GB or 6GB RAM SKUs, which have 64 and 128GB internal storage capacities respectively. The former is priced at Rs. 13,999 (or about US$200), whereas the latter is Rs. 16,999 (~$244).
