We are getting to see new information about the upcoming Realme 3 Pro smartphone. The Realme 3 Pro is expected to offer significant bumps in performance and features compared to the regular Realme 3 and will also include OPPO's famed VOOC fast-charging tech. A Snapdragon 710 is expected to power the innards and the phone will be available in several RAM and storage variants.

Realme has managed to carve a space for itself in the highly competitive Indian smartphone market. The Realme 3 Pro was teased last month with a logo that read, "Be PROactive". However, not much was known about the smartphone back then. Now, IndiaShopps quotes sources who claim to have much more info about the upcoming smartphone.

According to these sources, Realme will stick to using a polycarbonate body and not make the transition to metal yet. The Realme 3 Pro will feature a Sony IMX519 sensor similar to the one in the OnePlus 6T. Assuming Realme does a good job with the rest of the camera hardware, this should be a significant upgrade.

Like the OPPO R17 Pro, the Realme 3 Pro will also feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor that offers flagship-level performance in most applications and also is easy on the battery. RAM and storage variants are expected to be 4 GB/32 GB, 4 GB/64 GB, and 6 GB/64 GB.

Fans of OPPO's sub-brand have been asking for the inclusion of VOOC super charging that is currently the fastest...err.. fast-charging technology in the market. Looks like the Realme 3 Pro would feature VOOC 3.0 that should get you up from zero to 100% battery in 30 minutes or less. We're not sure of the battery capacity yet but gauging from what we've seen with the Realme 3, expect capacities in the 4,200 mAh range.

The Realme 3 Pro is said to be coming in three color variants although details are still scarce regarding this. There has no official word on the launch date but the sources seem to indicate an April 3rd week time frame.

I am a cell and molecular biologist and computers have been an integral part of my life ever since I laid my hands on my first PC which was based on an Intel Celeron 266 MHz processor, 16 MB RAM and a modest 2 GB hard disk. Since then, I’ve seen my passion for technology evolve with the times. From traditional floppy based storage and running DOS commands for every other task, to the connected cloud and shared social experiences we take for granted today, I consider myself fortunate to have witnessed a sea change in the technology landscape. I honestly feel that the best is yet to come, when things like AI and cloud computing mature further. When I am not out finding the next big cure for cancer, I read and write about a lot of technology related stuff or go about ripping and re-assembling PCs and laptops.
