OPPO’s sub-brand, Realme, a few days ago, announced that it had sold six million smartphones less than a year after it released its first device, the Realme 1. The company released the Realme 3 budget phone last month, and is set to follow it up with a more powerful, more expensive Pro model.
The company has now confirmed that the device, the Realme 3 Pro, will be launched on April 22. Not much is known about the Realme 3 Pro apart from the fact that it's meant to compete directly against the Redmi Note 7 Pro. The gulf between the regular Redmi Note 7 and the Realme 3 was rather massive, and we hope the Realme 3 Pro puts up a better fight.
It may as well do that, though, as the company’s CEO has posted a teaser that appears to show the device running Fortnite at 60fps. The teaser is something of a dig against the Redmi Note 7 Pro, as it’s depicted being unable to do the same thing.
At the moment, the only SoCs confirmed to be able to run Fortnite at 60 fps are the Snapdragon 855 and Kirin 980. We don’t think there’s any chance the Realme 3 Pro features either, and it’ll likely go with one of the newer Qualcomm SoCs; perhaps the gaming-oriented Snapdragon 730G? Earlier rumors claimed it would opt for the Snapdragon 710, though. Who knows? We'll just have to wait and see.
