Realme X passes BIS certification in India, launch imminent
Earlier this year, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth hinted at a Realme phone with a 48 MP camera. We are now getting to know that this device would be the Realme X and is all set to launch in China on May 15 alongside the Chinese variant of the Realme 3 Pro. Besides China, the Realme X would also be launching in India soon going by a recent Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification listing.
The BIS listing reveals two models: RMX1901 and RMX1945 both of which are being associated with the Realme X as per word on the streets. The RMX1901 variant, which recently popped up on TENAA, is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC and will have an in-display fingerprint sensor. The device will also support OPPO's VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology for quickly topping up its 3,680 mAH battery.
One of the highlights of the Realme X is its purported 48 MP rear camera, which will be supported by a 5 MP depth sensor. A pop-up selfie camera is also on the cards as was teased recently by Realme in a video released on Weibo. The handset will ship with ColorOS 6 based on Android 9 Pie.
The Realme X is tipped to arrive in three variants — 6 GB/64 GB for ¥1,599 (₹16,400), 6 GB/128 GB for ¥1,799 (₹18,500), and 8 GB/128 GB for ¥1,999 (₹20,500).
