Yesterday, WinFuture revealed numerous official Edge 30 Pro renders, confirming the name of Motorola's next global flagship smartphone. For context, Motorola already sells the Edge 30 Pro as the Edge X30 in China, where it launched in December. In comparison, Motorola is not expected to announce the Edge 30 Pro until February 24.
While the Edge 30 Pro's specifications and the lack of changes from the Edge X30, are already known, the former's pricing had remained a mystery. However, Nils Ahrensmeier has discovered alleged European pricing that would undercut other flagship smartphones. Reputedly, Motorola plans to launch the Edge 30 Pro in Europe for approximately €500, €350 less than the Galaxy S22 and €550 short of the Galaxy S22+.
Likewise, the Xiaomi 12 is rumoured to arrive for €800 to €900. By contrast, the Xiaomi 12 Pro may appear in Europe for at least €1,000. In fairness to Xiaomi, the Xiaomi 12 Pro has a 1440p display to the Edge 30 Pro's 1080p one. Both smartphones feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, up to 12 GB of RAM and UFS 3.1 storage though, along with comparable primary and ultra-wide-angle cameras.
The Edge 30 Pro has a 60 MP front-facing camera too, as well as a 5,000 mAh battery. Incidentally, Motorola could launch more than the Edge 30 Pro at this month's hardware event. Based on recent leaks, the company has half a dozen unreleased smartphones close to release, including the 'Rogue', which has an under-display camera.
