WinFuture has revealed marketing renders of the Edge 30 Pro, a device that Motorola released as the Edge X30 last year in China. Contrary to previous rumours, the Edge 30 Pro will arrive with no changes compared to the Edge X30. As it stands, the Edge 30 Pro will simply be a re-named Edge X30.
Purportedly, the Edge 30 Pro would feature an in-display fingerprint scanner, which WinFuture has confirmed is not the case. Instead, it seems that Mysmartprice's leaked renders may relate to the Motorola 'Rogue', a render of which Evan Blass shared last week.
As such, the Edge 30 Pro will be available with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, a 5,000 mAh battery and a 6.7-inch display. The Edge 30 Pro will be one of the first smartphones to arrive globally with Qualcomm's latest flagship chipset too, after the Galaxy S22 series.
While Xiaomi has revealed the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro, it has not announced a global release date yet. European pricing for the pair, plus the Xiaomi 12X, has leaked, however. Motorola will reveal the Edge 30 Pro at a launch event on February 24. Motorola is yet to reveal any more details about the launch event yet, though.
