Mysmartprice and @Sudhanshu1414 have released renders of the Moto Edge 30 Pro, the global version of the Moto Edge X30. Until this month, Motorola had been expected to release the Moto Edge X30 outside China as the Moto Edge 30 Ultra. However, an NBTC certification confirmed that the device will launch as the Edge 30 Pro, making it a direct successor of the Edge 20 Pro.
Surprisingly, the Edge 30 Pro and the Edge X30 do not look identical. For some reason, Motorola has removed its name from the device's back panel, unlike the Moto G200. Additionally, Motorola has moved its logo to the back panel's bottom left corner, another departure from the company's typical smartphone design language.
Mysmartprice adds that the Edge 30 Pro will launch with an in-display fingerprint scanner too, a third change for the global variant. By contrast, the Moto Edge X30 has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in its power button. Motorola also released a Special Edition model in China too, but neither Mysmartprice nor @Sudhanshu1414 mention this.
A release date remains unknown, too. The Edge 30 Pro will retain all other Edge X30 specifications though, including its Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, 5,000 mAh battery and a 6.7-inch display. The Moto Edge 30 Pro will be available in Black and Pearl White as well.
