New leak suggests that the Moto Edge 30 Pro could be launched globally in February 2022
Those looking forward to getting their hands on Motorola's shiny new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 powered Moto Edge 30 Pro (launched as the Moto Edge X30 in China) may not have to wait a whole lot longer if a new report from 91mobiles is accurate. An earlier report speculated that it could pack a stylus like the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The publication has learned from Twitter leaker Mukul Sharma aka @StuffListings that Motorola plans to make the smartphone global in February 2022.
Unfortunately, the exact Moto Edge 30 Pro global launch date remains a mystery. A late-February launch seems likely, as February is jam-packed with exciting product launches from Samsung, Redmi and Realme. It could be the second global smartphone to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC after the Galaxy S22 if Xiaomi chooses not to launch the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro globally before that. It is also worth noting that the Moto Edge 30 Pro comes with some minor design changes compared to the Moto Edge X30.
Motorola's decision to put the Moto Edge 30 Pro out in the market this early will help it reestablish its foothold in the high-end smartphone market. It is the first time in many years that a Motorola-branded flagship has hit shelves before its Chinese compatriots like Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo and Realme. If the Moto Edge 30 Pro doesn't pique your interest, there's the Motorola Frontier 22 to look forward to, which could pack a 200 MP camera and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
