More than just notifications: Amazfit smartwatches now interact with iOS

Zepp Health has officially introduced support for interactive iOS notifications across select Amazfit smartwatches. The update upgrades basic notification mirroring into an interactive experience, allowing users to take immediate action directly from their wrist.

Instead of merely viewing or dismissing alerts, users can now send quick replies to incoming messages, trigger app-specific actions, and view embedded images. Security camera notifications, for instance, can now display snapshot previews on the watch screen when motion is detected—saving users from having to pull their smartphone out of their pocket.

However, several key restrictions apply at launch. The functionality remains in beta and is currently limited to three models: the Amazfit Cheetah 2 Ultra (on Amazon), Amazfit Balance Ultra, and Amazfit Balance 3. Zepp Health plans to roll out the update to additional models later, including the Cheetah 2 Pro, T-Rex 3, T-Rex 3 Pro, Bip Max, and Active 3 Premium. Furthermore, the feature is currently available exclusively within the European Union, where Apple is required to provide such access under Digital Markets Act (DMA) regulations. It remains uncertain whether this feature will eventually see a worldwide release.
