Garmin releases new software update for popular smartwatch lineup

Garmin is finishing up July with another update for the Instinct 3, Instinct 3 Solar, Instinct E, Instinct 3 Tactical and the Instinct Crossover AMOLED (curr. $649 on Amazon). To recap, Beta Version 15.14 replaced Beta Version 15.13 on July 22. Two weeks prior, Beta Version 15.12 arrived as the third v15.xx build in as many weeks.
Now, Garmin has transitioned development to Beta Version 15.16. In a forum post, the company clarifies that its new update is being issued as an over-the-air (OTA) download. Despite arriving only a few hours ago, Garmin claims to have offered Beta Version 15.16 to all Instinct 3 series smartwatches that have been enrolled on its Beta Program.
If that is not the case, then you can request Beta Version 15.16 manually by navigating through the Main Menu to Settings, System and Software Update before tapping 'Check for Updates'. According to Garmin, Beta Version 15.16 makes two key changes from v15.14.
On the one hand, the new update should fix lag that could occur when viewing the glances list. On the other hand, Beta Version 15.16 is said to resolve a separate issue that caused weight values to be displayed incorrectly when editing a set in the strength activity. Please see Garmin's forum post for more details.
