Apple TV, HomePod mini, and Apple Home Hub with 7-inch touchscreen said to launch soon

According to the latest information from Bloomberg, Apple will launch new models of the Apple TV 4K ($139 on Amazon) and the HomePod mini in the fall of 2026. Neither product is expected to undergo major design changes, the focus is reportedly on faster processors that will enable the use of Siri AI. Both products were originally scheduled to launch in 2024, but delays with the AI-based version of Siri have caused the launch of the new hardware to be postponed by about two years.

The most exciting of the new smart home products, however, is Apple’s first smart home hub, which is expected to launch between October 2026 and spring 2027. This product, which has also been referred to as the HomePad in some rumors, is said to feature a nearly square 7-inch display and come with a brand-new operating system that looks like a mix of tvOS, watchOS, and iOS. As usual, Apple is reportedly opting for a home screen with app icons and widgets.

The hub is said to not only control smart home devices and display a live video feed from security cameras, but also support FaceTime video chats. An Interlink feature reportedly allows users to communicate with family members in other rooms that also have an Apple Home Hub. Facial recognition is said to automatically identify users, allowing every resident of a home to see their preferred widgets, calendar entries, and contacts. Apple is also said to be working on a more advanced version of this hub, which features a 9-inch display mounted on a robotic arm.
