Amazfit smartwatch gains new features and enhanced Apple compatibility with latest update

The Amazfit Cheetah 2 Ultra (on Amazon) is still relatively new to the market and and is now getting another firmware update. The firmware advances to version 6.1.206.1, with a file size of 19.72 MB. While it remains unclear if the rollout is global, it has at least reached users in Germany, as confirmed by a Reddit user who shared the changelog.
The update introduces several practical features. Most notably, users can now manage map downloads with greater flexibility, allowing them to pause active transfers or prioritize specific regions. This is particularly useful when quickly pulling a small route segment before continuing with larger map files. Offline route planning has also been refined: users can now save routes without being forced to start navigation immediately.
In addition, the update adds support for “Grade-Adjusted Pace,” which translates running speed on inclines into an equivalent pace on flat terrain to improve the comparability of different workouts. Apple Health integration has also been enhanced, with the smartwatch now capable of syncing heart rate variability (HRV) data. Further improvements include more accurate elevation tracking, better overall navigation performance, and optimized text displays during navigation.
