Together with the S-Pen, the Galaxy S21 Ultra 2021 inherited the legacy of the Galaxy Note 20, later followed by the first Galaxy S flagship with an S Pen slot in 2022. Recently, however, there have been repeated rumors about an impending end to stylus operation on Galaxy smartphones, which means that Galaxy Note DNA appears to be disappearing altogether from the Galaxy S family.
This is also evident in the slowly changing design. The Galaxy S24 Ultra was still comparatively angular, especially compared to the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+, but the Galaxy S25 Ultra is clearly oriented toward rounded corners, which many users generally welcomed because it meant the Samsung phone felt less like it digs into the palms of their hands. However, the South Korean company does not appear to have reached the end of the Galaxy S transformation process just yet, as leaker Ice Universe recently pointed out.
At least according to his information, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will be further adapted to the more rounded design of its two siblings, potentially called the Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Air. Specifically, the four corners of the Galaxy S26 Ultra are said to be even more rounded than those of the current Samsung flagship, which some online commentators interpret as a move closer to Apple's iPhone design. Whether this is actually true remains to be seen, but if the leaker's information is correct, it will at least ensure a more uniform design within the Galaxy S26 family.
