Bigme is relaunching the HiBreak Pro and giving the smartphone a major upgrade: an E Ink display that also display colors. The 6.13-inch display, as before, has a resolution of 1,648 x 848 and a pixel density of 300 PPI when only grayscale is displayed; when displaying colors, the resolution drops to 150 PPI.
While E Ink can't display animations and videos nearly as smoothly as OLED or IPS panels, the display technology is extremely energy-efficient, which should allow the 4,500 mAh battery to last a particularly long time. E Ink displays are readable in direct sunlight, and the front lighting also allows for use in low-light conditions. The smartphone is charged via USB-C with up to 18 watts.
Measuring 159.8 x 80.9 x 8.9 millimeters and weighing 193 grams, the HiBreak Pro Color is relatively compact. The manufacturer includes an NFC chip for contactless payment, a 5 MP selfie camera, a 20 MP main camera, a fingerprint sensor for unlocking the device, and a 5G modem with a dual SIM slot. Inside the HiBreak Pro Color is a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor, supported by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash storage. The device ships with Android 14; Bigme has not yet confirmed details on update support.
