Dual-screen smartphone: Bigme Hibreak Dual 2 combines e-ink and LCD

Bigme is probably not one of the best-known tech companies, but it should be a familiar name in the fairly sizable niche of e-ink enthusiasts. We have already tested the Bigme Hibreak, an e-ink smartphone from the same manufacturer. Bigme has now announced the Hibreak Dual 2, and as the name already suggests, it has two displays. Specifically, the manufacturer combines an LCD with an e-ink screen. At 6.13 inches diagonally, the e-ink display is even larger than the 5-inch LCD. The e-ink screen also supports color content.
Compared with the Bigme Hibreak Dual, the Dual 2 is more than just a cautious update. Bigme has substantially revised the concept. The Hibreak Dual has only a relatively small LCD. On the Dual2, both screens are almost the same size and should be similarly practical to use. Bigme has not yet provided exact technical specifications. What is clear, however, is that the smartphone uses a MediaTek Dimensity 8300, a somewhat older chip that should still offer a certain amount of performance headroom. According to current information, Android 16 is used as the OS, and stylus input is supported according to the manufacturer.
Funding for the Hibreak Dual 2 will probably happen via Kickstarter, but an eventual launch on Amazon is plausible as well.
