Onyx recently launched two new Boox devices for the Chinese market. Now, it has announced it has another event scheduled for later this month, and there are speculations it is the global launch of the new Boox devices.
According to a video uploaded on the Boox YouTube channel, there's a product launch event scheduled for October 21. The description for the video says the event, which will begin at 10 AM (GMT+8), is for new Boox ePaper devices.
While Boox is being tight-lipped about the devices, it has provided a few hints. There are a couple of hashtags in the video description, and two of them stand out in particular — ‘#colorepaper’ and ‘#einktablet’. The former can be deduced to mean that at least one of the devices will have a color E-Ink display like the Boox Go Color 7 Gen II (available on Amazon for $279.99) while the other hashtag indicates the new products will fall under the Boox line of tablets.
There are speculations that the devices will be the Palma versions of the phone-sized Boox P6 Pro Series announced in China a week ago. The Boox P6 Pro series is made up of two devices — the standard Boox P6 Pro with a black and white Carta 1300 display and the Boox P6 Pro Color with a Kaleido 3 color display.
Nevertheless, we won't have to wait for long to find out the details of the new Boox devices.
