Asus has updated the TUF Gaming T500 (curr. $899.99 on Amazon) after its 2025 release with AMD APUs as the TUF Gaming TM500. For context, the TUF Gaming T500 and TUF Gaming TM500 (2026) join a host of new Asus gaming hardware launches for CES 2026. While new ROG Zephyrus G14 and ROG Zephyrus G16 generations may capture the most attention, Asus has brought AMD's Strix Halo platform to the typically cheaper TUF Gaming A14, too.
This time, Asus has decided to offer the TUF Gaming TM500 with up to a Ryzen 7 260 from AMD's Hawk Point series with Zen 4 CPU cores. Meanwhile, the Intel-wielding TUF Gaming T500 will be sold with up to the Core i5-13420H. Moreover, Asus' new budget gaming desktops will also be configurable with Radeon RX 9060 XT or GeForce RTX 5060 Ti desktop-class GPUs and 64 GB of DDR5-5200 MT/s RAM.
Similarly, Asus includes PCIe Gen 4 storage and plenty of cooling to prevent its hardware from overheating. Also, the TM500 and TM500 find themselves with 330 W 80 Plus Platinum certified PSUs and around a dozen ports dotted around their front and rear sides. Unfortunately, Asus has not confirmed pricing or availability for either model yet. Please see the company's website for more details about its 2026 refresh.
