A new leak has suggested that GPU supply to board partners will be reduced from Nvidia, and the most obvious reason is AI-induced memory shortages. This also puts the introduction of RTX 50 Super series GPUs within this year, in question.

Despite what Nvidia says, the rumor mill has been churning and it seems like GPU’s will soon be in even shorter supply. It was recently reported that Asus confirmed discontinuation of the RTX 5070 Ti with the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB to follow suit. Now, another rumor suggests that Nvidia is reducing GPU supply to board partners, effectively pushing the expected RTX 50 Super series further down the line, indefinitely.

The latest information comes from ‘MEGAsizeGPU’ on X who claims that Nvidia has cut GPU supply to add-in-card (AIC) partners by 15% to 20%. This suggests an overall reduction in GPU supply, which means board partners will have even fewer cards in stock, and this would eventually lead to even higher pricing for what’s available. The leaker also states that there will not be any new products in 2026.

While the leaker has not shared the source for their information, signs point towards a lack of GPUs, at least the higher VRAM offerings, and the RTX 50 Super series skipping the expected 2026 launch. This comes after Board Channel reports of RTX 5070 Super, RTX 5070 Super Ti, and RTX 5080 Super not launching anytime soon due to memory shortages. They were initially expected to arrive in Q1 this year.

Other reports from Board Channels also state that Nvidia has already reduced shipments of RTX 5060 Ti 16GB and RTX 5070 Ti 16GB models as it is shifting focus towards the RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti 8GB. On the other hand, Nvidia has stated that it will continue to ship all GeForce SKUs and that it is “working closely with our suppliers to maximize memory availability.”

For now, what’s clear and certain is that AI developments are causing RAM shortages and prices to skyrocket. It’s not surprising that various channels are reporting short supply and discontinuations.
